Contains tackiness agents and cushioning agents to keep the lubricant doing its job, instead of squeezing out. Extreme pressure exerted by the meshing of gears tends to force SPECIAL EXPOSED GEAR GREASE to the edge, but the cohesive ability helps pull it back into the center of the gear face, assuring a constant film of lubricant protection against dust. Reduces wear by providing a dust-resistant film of protection.

SPECIAL EXPOSED GEAR GREASE helps protect, as well as lubricate, open gears, fifth wheels, guide rails, chains, and cables, to name just a few applications.

SPECIAL SF OPEN GEAR LUBRICANT is designed to replace the traditional heavy products distilled from crude oil (the so called asphaltics or residuals) that are used to lubricate open gears. Those asphalt base compounds had to be thinned with solvent so they could be sprayed on the gears. Then, of course, the solvent evaporated - - - leaving behind the sticky compound used to lubricate the gears.

• Most of the gear systems that will use this gear lubricant use a shroud to cover the gears. Asphaltic compounds sling off onto the shroud creating a real housekeeping nightmare. This open gear lubricant will not accumulate on interior surfaces of open gear shrouds. This eliminates the need for periodic cleanup which causes production interruptions. Also eliminated is the accumulation of asphaltic materials in the roots of the teeth that interfere with the meshing teeth. This interference sometimes causes misalignment and premature wear. This can be eliminated with the use of SPECIAL SF OPEN GEAR LUBRICANT.

• This open gear lubricant is generally used in areas where large open gears are in service. Those industries would include, but not be limited to, the following: coal fire power generation; mining-iron, copper and other minerals; ceramics; cement; sugar beet processing; paint; glass and sand production.

TAKILUBE

Outside gears, often referred to as exposed or uncased gears, present a lubrication challenge. Due to the unshielded operation, they are easily contaminated by dust and moisture, with frequent re-lubrication required. • Has excellent film strength to prevent rubbing of one wire strand against another. It is tacky and adheres to the wire rope exceptionally well. By setting up rapidly, once the product has been applied, it prevents drippage and the usual mess found with so many lubricants for wire rope. It is fluid enough to fill the spaces and protect against rust, corrosion, and wear. Wire rope life can be extended up to ten times longer with regular and periodic lubrication with WIRE ROPE LUBRICANT. It is the most effective way to assure longer life for the wire rope. Gear tests conducted, using the UNIVERSAL TORQUE FLUID additive system, show no pitting what-so-ever - - less gear wear means an extended drive train life.

• Power Take Offs (PTO's) very often fail to have their clutch plates lock up quick enough to prevent a great deal of slippage. Slippage causes clutch plates to burn up and results in loss of power transmission. There is a performance lock up test called the Stall Test that allows up to 3 seconds before lock up. Texas Refinery Corp.'s UNIVERSAL TORQUE FLUID passes this test with a lock up time of less than 1 second. This fast lock up time reduces clutch wear and prolongs PTO life. Texas Refinery Corp. uses a great deal more of the superior additives to protect PTO's than is necessary to pass equipment manufacturers test.

UTF RED

Texas Refinery Corp.'s UTF RED is an extremely versatile hydraulic/power transmission oil that has been developed for use in a wide variety of equipment. The special added dye in the formulation provides the added benefit of helping to detect fluid leaks.

• Its formulation has a superior anti-wear zinc additive level of .20, which is four to five times the zinc found in most conventional oils. As a result of this extra anti-wear enrichment,  in the Eaton-Vickers Ring and Vane Wear Test, it showed impressive results. After this 150 hour test is run on an oil, the total weight loss of the cam ring and vanes is measured. UTF RED greatly exceeded this test, with results showing less than 50% of the allowable wear to the ring and vanes.

MOLY DRY FILM LUBRICANT  is a dispersion of colloidal Molybdenum Disulfide and a special binding resin that provides excellent lubricity and wears better than a coating of pure moly. Packaged as a convenient aerosol spray using a hydrocarbon propellant, it forms a tough lubricant film upon curing. Designed for use where a strong but dry lubricating film is required or desired, without the aftereffects of a wet, greasy residual film of conventional lubricants.

COTTON PICKER WATER TANK OIL stays mixed in water without separating - highly important!  Staying in solution with the water makes sure the spindles are flushed clean without rinsing. Texas Refinery Corp.'s HEAT TRANSFER OIL is an amber colored oil. It is a paraffin base oil of 95 viscosity index. The oil has a high boiling point as well as the ability to transfer heat without a great amount of heat loss.
